Tring Brewery | Brock

Tasting notes

Proof that traditional session beers don’t have to be bland. This light brown quaffing ale graces us with a hint of sweetness and caramel on the palate, with the dynamic duo of Challenger and Styrian Goldings hops imparting complimentary flavour, aroma and bitterness.

Food pairing

A no nonsense ale that sits well with no nonsense food. Bangers, mash
and a rich red onion gravy is just one of our recommendations.

Tring Brewery | Colley's Dog

Tasting notes

This dark ruby premium ale is all about the malt, and we’ve packed a lot into this brew. It’s nutty, it’s malty and full of body. An old school strong English bitter.

Food pairing

This full bodied beer is almost a meal in itself. Best to pair with flavour packed snacks – anything from pickles and pies to cheeses and chutneys.

Tring Brewery | Death or Glory

Tasting notes

Don’t be fooled by the strength, this is one easy drinking beer. A rich, sweet barley wine with a heady, alcoholic nose and incredibly complex flavour profile. Brewed since 1994 by appointment to the Queens Royal Lancers. They’re tough enough to sink a few….are you?

Food pairing

Treat this beer like a bold red wine or port. Pair with red meats, mature cheeses and rich deserts containing chocolate, ginger or orange.

Tring Brewery | Drop Bar

Tasting notes

This is a beer to drink all night long and all year round. A slower, low temperature fermentation and dry hopping with Mosaic yields crisp flavours, subtle bitterness and a gentle floral, tropical fruit aroma.

Food pairing

Given the choice, we’d serve this alongside a plate of deep fried calamari and a wedge of lemon.

Tring Brewery | Mansion Mild

Tasting notes

A classic ruby dark mild, smooth like velvet, sweet and creamy, you’d be fooled into thinking we were talking about a chocolate box selection.

Food pairing

Pair with meats served with sweet sauce such as pork and apple, venison and redcurrant or fruit sponge puddings.

Tring Brewery | Moongazing

Tasting notes

This red-amber hued ale has a well rounded late bitterness with grapefruit, mango and peach hop characteristics imparted by American Chinook and Citra. Rye crystal malt adds additional complexity to stimulate your senses.

Food pairing

The dominant citrus/grapefruit characteristics mean this beer sits well alongside Keralan seafood curries.

Tring Brewery | Pelican

Tasting notes

Aromatic Abbey malts dominate this deep amber brew. French Strisselspalt hops add a gentle complimentary floral and lemony aroma.

Tring Brewery | Ridgeway

Tasting notes

An ever popular stalwart of our range, Ridgeway is defined by the finest UK malts balanced with the fruity characteristics of Styrian Goldings hops. This is a classic English ale at it’s most refined and drinkable.

Food pairing

We particularly like this one with rich hearty meals. A boeuf bourguignon or mushroom stroganoff on a cold winters evening.

Tring Brewery | Side Pocket

Tasting notes

It’s a toad not a frog! Unmistakable citrus and floral notes from only the best American Cascade hops balanced with a crisp dry finish make this straw coloured ale a fantastic session beer. All that flavour in a 3.6%. Oh Yes.

Food pairing

This sits very well alongside anything with big spicy flavours. The perfect partner to an aromatic jalfrezi or fiery enchiladas. Of course it drinks well on it’s own.

Tring Brewery | Squadron Scramble

Tasting notes

Brewed to commemorate the Battle of Britain, this ale is characterised by a debonair medium light colour and a dare-devil maltiness that compliments a courageous hop aroma from the best Mount Hood hops.

Food pairing

This works well with a good welsh rarebit – brown bread, strong cheddar and smoked bacon for the sauce, wholegrain mustard. Yum.

Tring Brewery | Tea Kettle Stout

Tasting notes

A stout like no other. The antithesis of bitter Irish stouts, this is creamy, smooth with underlying chocolate notes imparted by generous amounts of roasted malts and oats. Pours with a dark body and ivory head. It’s a tall, dark handsome pint.

Food pairing

Great with game, mild cheeses and smoked meats. Whiz in a blender with 2 scoops of good quality vanilla ice cream for the ultimate milkshake.

Tring Brewery/ Beer Shop | Pale Four

Tasting notes

Hops, hops and more hops, although this is not just another one dimensional ‘lupin fest’. Cara, Munich and Rye Crystal malts provide a robust base for this punchy American West Coast IPA style beer.

Food pairing

Load up some bottles, head for the campfire and enjoy with rich cured meats, smoked fish and toasted marshmallows.
